Please Note for Steel Deck Kit Quote Requests
- The piers are 100 x 100 galvanised Duragal. You will have no problems with corrosion or termites on the galvanised Duragal piers, as they are 100 x 100 in size
- Bearers are made using BlueScope® G450 Hi-Tensile Cold Formed C Sections
- Joists are the same, BlueScope® G450 Hi-Tensile Cold Formed C Section
- Joist centres are 450mm (600mm can be supplied on request but these would require a stronger flooring
- In-Plane design for a ‘cleaner’ finish than the usual joist over bearer design
- Cast-in footing is recommended for all projects but base-plates can be supplied on projects over 500mm in height
- Load rating is 3kps (300kg per square metre). An individual can apply a standard load rating of more than 3kpa. This is strong enough for any flooring of choice including 30mm cement board and tiling
- Hand rail/balustrade and stairs – Your choice but much cheaper options are available from your local Hardware store

In-Plane joist bearers – In-Plane gives a better ‘clean’ finish.
Galvanised Fasteners – We supply galvanised fasteners to avoid future corrosion.
Joist Centres – 450mm, certified to any load but 300kg per square metre load is ‘standard’. Easy to install. Choose your flooring from your local hardware store. (We do not include flooring in the prices we quote.)
Footing – We recommend cast in footings, (Base plate can be supplied on request above 500mm piers).
Standard load rating is 3kpa. You can increase the load bearing on request.
Balustrade and steps– your local Hardware store can easily supply steps and balustrade as necessary.

Every order is custom-made to your exact specifications. You pay less per square meter the larger the steel deck you order.
Steel Deck Cost
You will find this guide helpful for determining your pricing (flooring is not supplied). Large – 79+ square metres around $150 per m2, Medium – 50 square metres around $200 per m2, Small – 15 square metres around $260 per m2.
