Custom made Industrial Sheds

Everything is customisable to the millimetre in our fully Australian Made custom made industrial shed. You can use Zincalume or all Colorbond colours, add translucent or transparent roof sheets, PA Doors, Windows, Whirlybirds, Insulation, etc.

Whether it is a large shed or a small industrial building, our design principles are the same. You are guaranteed to be supplied with a strong building that will not 'move' in even the highest winds. We only use high tensile Australian Steel and unlike most shed makers, we use enough to ensure your shed has the necessary capacity and deflection qualities necessary to meet Australian Standards while being specific to your needs and your site. Look at our plans and engineering by clicking the engineering example below. Look at page 7 or 9 at the structural strength and necessary bracing to meet the Standards. Have you seen anything to compare?

Don’t lose out on a business Insurance Claim on your custom made industrial shed

In Australia your industrial steel building will be tested!

Fire, Flood and Wind are the three weather conditions all Australian must consider. We can absolutely guarantee Professional Choice against any wind conditions. In most cases, it is highly likely your Professional Choice structure will withstand the ravages of flood. Finding steel that will not distort and bend in the heat of an Australian bush fire is still beyond even Professional Choice.

Don’t ever be in a position in your business where an insurance claim is turned down because your building certification is proved to be wrong!

Check out the "Smart Buyers Guide"

A deflection, (bend or sag), of 10mm over 3m is all that is permitted by Australian Standards most sheds we know, are NOT deflection compliant. Try the Top Hat Span Test to ensure your quote is compliant and therefore covered by your insurance!

This will never happen with Professional Choice Sheds® but it is highly likely to happen in the near future with most other buildings on offer in Australia. The shed test makes it easy for you to test any quote is actually uo to the certification it may claim!

You have over 43 choices and accessories with Professional Choice Sheds® from the obvious – dimensions and colour – to solar ready and mezzanines. Have a look at your shed guide by clicking here.

FAQ

  • What thickness steel should my custom shed be?

The thickness of steel that Colorbond sheeting must be attached to is just one simple easy-checked point. Most sheds or garages have TRIMDEK or CUSTOM ORB or a Chinese import attaching to 0.75mm or less BMT (Base Metal Thickness) and yet the manufacturer specification is a minimum of 1mm BMT. Unless the framing is very close (400mm-450mm which is unlikely on most structurers), they do not meet manufacturer specification and are therefore do not meet NCC compliance – no matter what the engineering certification says.

There is a big difference in the quality high tensile steel made in Australia and the much cheaper mild steel imported from China, India or Korea used by most shed manufacturers in Australia. Mild steel does not have the strength and is lighter than quality Australian steel. Australian high tensile steel may sound similar to an imported equivalent but in many cases, the Australian high tensile steel could be twice as strong as the cheaper mild steel import.

  • How do I check the strength of the structure you are thinking of buying

o one wants a sag in their roof. The “sag” can be measured in the deflection of the roof. High tensile Australian steel is a lot less ‘bendable’ than low tensile imports. It’s easy to check the structure you are thinking of purchasing on this independent website www.shedhealthtest.com.au. We doubt any other supplier would encourage you to use this excellent tool!

These are just some points as to why Professional Choice® is your guarantee that your new installation will meet all manufacturing and Australian standards.

The unique design and engineering software used, ensures we’re able to customise your carport or shed to the millimetre with absolutely no waste and why they contain more steel than almost all competitors. All buildings are engineered site-specific to ensure they will withstand the specific conditions of your site and you have the peace of mind knowing that they will not be rejected by any possible insurance claim!
